Mr. Unmack was the third chairman of the American Industrial Hygiene Association Committee of Exposure Assessment Strategies and a coauthor of the book A Strategy for Occupational Exposure Assessment. As manager of environmental health and safety for IT Corporation Remediation Services Division and as director of environmental health and safety for Earth Tech Corporation, he conducted internal audits of the more than 100 operating locations nationwide. He developed policies and procedures that were successfully implemented reducing the accident frequency and severity.
As a Private Consultant Mr. Osborne has worked with several types of industries developing safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental programs that were compliant with all applicable federal state and local standards and regulations. He is a health and safety risk assessment expert and also an expert witness in several ESH areas.
Mr. Osborne is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Accreditation Committee for Industrial Hygiene that accredits colleges for the American Board of Engineering Technology (ABET). He audits Industrial Hygiene programs for substance and compliance.
Mr. Cook has a wealth of experience with managing and conducting health and safety audits and consultation in a wide range of industrial settings, including government and military facilities. Mr. Cook was previously Director, Facilities, Health, Safety & Environment for CIIT Centers for Health Research, leading all aspects of facility operations and health, safety and environmental support. Mr. Cook directed the facility waste management program involving chemical, infectious and low-level radioactive waste. He prepared and maintained all environmental permits and reporting systems for the site, conducted emission monitoring and prepared and certified site emission inventories.
Specific areas of competence include indoor air quality, asbestos, lead, respiratory protection, biological and chemical safety, hearing conservation, and industrial safety. Mr. Fincher previously served as Co-Director of Environmental, Health and Safety Services at Virginia Tech and Manager of the Occupational health and Industrial Hygiene Division. During his tenure at Virginia Tech, Mr. Fincher provided leadership to the divisional unit responsible for medical surveillance, infection control, hearing conservation, non-ionizing radiation, ergonomics, first aid/CPR, indoor air quality, respiratory protection, and biological and chemical health hazards. Mr. Fincher also served as a liaison between the university and regulatory agencies, including OSHA, MSHA, and DEQ.
Mr. Fincher also worked as a Safety and Health Consultant for several environmental consulting firms in Virginia and West Virginia. Project experience for these firms included occupational noise exposure evaluations, indoor air quality investigations, and industrial safety and health audits for heavy equipment and manufacturing operations.
